IMEI & Lock Status Guide
Find your IMEI, check whether your iPhone is carrier locked, and send us the right details for an accurate quote.
Every iPhone carries a unique 15-digit IMEI number. It is the only thing we need to look up your device in Apple's activation database and remove a carrier lock remotely. No cables, no jailbreak, and your iPhone never leaves your hands.
How to find your IMEI
Any one of these four methods gives you the same 15-digit number. Use whichever is easiest right now.
Method 1 Fastest
Dial the universal IMEI code
Open the Phone app, go to the keypad and enter the code below. Your 15-digit IMEI appears on screen instantly. This works even when no SIM is inserted.
Dial
*#06#on the keypad. No call is placed.Method 2 Copy-friendly
From the Settings app
Scroll down past Serial Number until you reach the IMEI row. Press and hold the number to copy it, then paste it straight into your message to us. That way there are no transcription mistakes.
Settings → General → About → IMEI
Method 3
On the SIM tray or the back of the device
Eject the SIM tray with a pin and look at the edge, where the IMEI is laser-etched in tiny print. On older models (iPhone 5 through iPhone 6s and the SE) it is printed on the rear casing instead.
Method 4
Through Finder or iTunes
Connect the iPhone to a computer and select it. On macOS Catalina and later use Finder; on Windows or older macOS use iTunes. Click the device summary text under the name to cycle through Serial Number, IMEI and ICCID.
Check it twice. A single wrong digit points to a different device. A mistyped IMEI is the most common cause of a failed order, so read it back against your screen before you send it. If anything looks off, message us and we will verify the number with you first.
Is your iPhone carrier locked?
Three reliable signals. The first one is definitive on iOS 14 and later.
The Carrier Lock row
Settings → General → About has a "Carrier Lock" row on iOS 14 and later. It is the quickest definitive answer your iPhone can give you.
Try another carrier's SIM
Insert a SIM from a different network. A locked iPhone shows "SIM Not Supported" or refuses to activate; an unlocked one simply finds signal.
It asks for an unlock code
If the iPhone prompts for a SIM network unlock PIN or code after inserting a new SIM, the carrier lock is definitely still active.
Reading the "Carrier Lock" row
No SIM restrictionsYour iPhone is already factory unlocked. There is nothing to buy, and any SIM will work.
SIM lockedA carrier lock is active. This is exactly what our official factory unlock removes.
Row not shownYour iOS version is older than 14. Use the SIM-swap test above, or just send us the IMEI and we will check for you.
What to send us for a quote
Four details let us price your unlock accurately the first time.
15-digit IMEI
Copied, not retyped, wherever possible. We only accept the 15-digit IMEI, not the shorter serial number.
Example: 356938035643809
iPhone model
The exact model as shown in Settings → General → About, so we quote against the right supplier list.
Example: iPhone 13 Pro, 256 GB
Current carrier and country
Pricing and turnaround are set per carrier. If you are unsure which network the device is locked to, say so and we will run a lookup first.
Example: AT&T, United States
Device status
Tell us whether the iPhone is still on an active contract or instalment plan, reported lost or stolen, or signed into someone else's iCloud. Honest answers here save you both time and money.
What a carrier unlock cannot fix
A carrier lock is only one of several ways an iPhone can be restricted. These are different problems and we cannot solve them, so please do not order an unlock expecting them to be removed.
Blacklisted devices (lost, stolen or barred)
A blacklist entry lives in the carrier's own IMEI barring database, not in Apple's activation records. We cannot clear it, and no legitimate service can.
iCloud Activation Lock
Activation Lock ties the iPhone to an Apple Account. Only the original owner can remove it, by signing out or removing the device from their iCloud account. We do not offer bypasses.
Unpaid contracts and instalment plans
Many carriers refuse unlock requests until the device is fully paid off and out of contract. Clear the balance with your carrier first, then order.
If your iPhone is blacklisted, a successful factory unlock still will not restore service. The bar sits with the carrier, not with Apple. Tell us upfront if you suspect either issue and we will say so before you pay.
What happens after you order
Remote, official, and typically finished within one to five days.
- Step 1
IMEI submitted
We forward your IMEI to the official carrier channel as soon as payment is confirmed.
- Step 2
Apple record updated
The carrier authorises the request and your IMEI is whitelisted in Apple's activation database.
- Step 3
You get confirmation
We email you the moment the unlock is confirmed, usually within 1–5 days.
- Step 4
Activate and go
Insert any SIM, or connect to Wi-Fi and reactivate. The unlock is permanent and survives updates and restores.
Before you order
A short recap of the things worth confirming while you still have the iPhone in front of you.
Read the IMEI back
Confirm all 15 digits against Settings or the *#06# screen. A mistyped digit belongs to a different device.
Confirm it is carrier locked
Check the Carrier Lock row, or send us the IMEI and we will look up the lock status before you commit.
Settle the carrier first
Instalment balances, active contracts and blacklist entries sit with your carrier. Clear those before ordering.
Payment options
We accept eSewa, Khalti and bank transfer. We confirm eligibility and the exact price before you pay anything.
Got your IMEI? Send it over.
Share your IMEI, model, and carrier and we will confirm eligibility and price, usually within 24 hours. You can also reach us on Facebook.
